But today, we’re introducing Erin Cabrey, our newest reporter.

Erin’s covered everything from plant-based chicken nuggets to CBD drinks while at BevNET for the last three years. Now, we’re excited to have her brew things up here.

How would you describe your job to someone who doesn’t work in retail? I get to pick the brains of industry leaders and share their insights with readers.

One thing we can’t guess about you from your LinkedIn profile: I’m a huge professional tennis fan! I can often be found getting a bit too emotionally invested watching matches on TV or IRL during the summer at the US Open.

What’s your favorite project you’ve worked on? In my last role, I wrote a feature story on zero-waste grocery-delivery platforms. It was fascinating to talk to companies who are essentially revamping the milkman model for the modern age.

An emerging retail trend that you’re most excited about, and why? I’m interested to see more retailers and brands join TikTok. I think a lot of companies have been toying with how exactly TikTok fits into their social media strategy and it’s been fun to see how some companies have chosen to embrace it—through videos and even as a platform for live-streamed events.

Hands down, the best fast-food restaurant chain is...Dunkin’ Donuts. I think as a New England native, I’m contractually obligated to say that.
