Hello, and welcome back to another edition of our week in weird retail news. Wherever you’re reading this week, our only hope is that it takes you by surprise, or at least, makes you laugh.

This week, visitors to Joshua Tree National Park in California may be in for a surprise as Cheez-It has installed its very own gas station stop with a Cheez-It pump. And for all you pickle fans out there who love drinking the brine (we know you do), a popular pickle brand may be coming out with its own version of a hard seltzer.

  • Visitors in California can now stop at a Cheez-It gas station equipped with a large Cheez-It pump that sprays out free bags of…you guessed it, Cheez-Its.
  • Taco Bell may soon start offering a fully vegan Crunchwrap that comes with plant-based beef and cheese.
  • Grillo’s Pickles will soon be available as a hard seltzer flavor.

As for our loyal newsletter readers, as usual, you may or may not have spotted a piece of…let’s just say false news about McDonald’s going fully vegan for a week in July in solidarity with World Animal Day. OK, first of all, World Animal Day is in October, and second of all, do you really think McDonald’s would go fully vegan for even an hour?
