- Amid slipping sales for the shoe brand, Nike CEO John Donahoe is retiring after taking over the top spot in January 2020. He’s set to be replaced by Elliott Hill, who will return to the company following his retirement in 2020 after joining as an intern in 1988.
- Chris de Lapuente, head of LVMH’s selective retailing division, which houses Sephora, will retire on October 31, Bloomberg reported. De Lapuente has been with LVMH since 2011, when he joined as CEO of Sephora.
- KIND Snacks appointed Daniel Calderoni as CEO of KIND North America, filling the role held by Russell Stokes since 2021. Calderoni has previously held various roles at KIND parent company Mars, most recently GM for Mars Pet Nutrition in Canada. KIND founder Daniel Lubetzky, meanwhile, was added as a regular investor on Shark Tank after making guest appearances for the past five years.
- Ipsy named Galen Smith, former chief executive at Redbox Entertainment, as its new CEO. The beauty subscription company did not disclose when former CEO Scott Gilbertson departed his role.
- Mattel tapped Ken Wee as EVP and chief strategy officer, replacing Christopher Farrell, who assumed the role in February and since exited the toy brand. Wee was formerly chief strategy officer of video game maker Activision Blizzard.
- Sephora North America promoted SVP of finance Delphine Herve to the CFO role, its first-ever woman finance chief. The beauty retailer’s EVP and CFO Christophe Le Boterff will retire in April.
- Target brought on PepsiCo CFO Jim Lee to be its new finance chief. He takes over for Michael Fiddelke, who’s been CFO since 2019 and was named COO in January, performing the dual role until a successor was found.
- Ahold Delhaize USA named chief commercial officer Roger Wheeler president of Stop & Shop ahead of current president Gordon Reid’s retirement.
- Uniqlo announced British designer Clare Waight Keller as its new creative director after she launched its sub-label Uniqlo: C last year. She previously served as creative director for LVMH’s Givenchy and Richemont’s Chloé.
- Tom Ford, too, added a new creative director, Haider Ackermann, assuming the role vacated by Peter Hawkings, who left the label in July after just two seasons. Ackermann was named Canada Goose’s first creative director in May.
