If you’re looking to get educated about changing retail trends from the comfort of your desk, there are plenty of options this week.

This includes a virtual event from Retail Brew exploring how agentic commerce is changing the retail journey and how the traditional model is no longer viable. Topics include how to maximize ROI, boost consumer loyalty and trust, and increase product discovery. Joining the discussion are ElevenLabs GTM Lauren Kiefer, CDW Director of Strategy Andy Szanger, and Vêtir CEO Kate Davidson Hudson.

Here’s what else is going on in retail this week:

In promotions: Amazon is running yet another spring sale with its fourth annual Summer Beauty Event, which begins today and runs through Mother’s Day on May 10. During the two-week event, Amazon will offer discounts up to 30% on beauty brands such as Dyson, Biodance, and Charlotte Tilbury, and categories spanning makeup, skin care, hair care, fragrance, wellness, and personal care.

In webinars: Placer.ai is hosting a webinar on Wednesday called “Discover: The New Consumer from Physical to Digital,” which will tackle how consumer behavior is changing both online and in-store. Speakers include Chris Purcell, founder of Nexus Brand Group, and Tony Washington, director of category management and shopper insights for large stores at Coca-Cola.

Next Coresight Research is hosting a live virtual session on Thursday looking into how retailers are closing the gap on self-service POS. Coresight’s own research found that just 23% of retailers have fully scaled their self-service POS options, yet 80% plan to invest in the technology over the next 24 months.

In conferences: The invitation-only Women in Retail Leadership Summit is marking its 12th year with multiple days of networking and presentations in Miami. The event is aimed at “women in leadership positions at top retailers and brands who want to learn, network, and improve their business acumen,” per its website. This year’s lineup of speakers includes David’s Bridal CEO Kelly N. Cook, Best Buy CEO Corie Barry, and Pacsun CEO Brieane Olson.
