Meghan Kelleher is founder and CEO of Corner Market Communications, which has worked with brands like KIND, Banza, and LesserEvil.

How would you describe your job to someone who doesn’t work in retail? I help ensure specific grocery brands are top of mind for consumers, buyers, investors, and more through word of mouth, third-party testimonials, experiences, and more.

One thing we can’t guess about your job from your LinkedIn profile? I make sure a lot of crises don’t hit the news (and if they do, they are a blip on the radar). Or another one, my team loves to hype that I can (and still do!) build mailer boxes faster than the viral Dominos box guy.

What’s your favorite project you’ve worked on? Launching Oatly in the United States, followed by the Applegate “Meatheads” campaign with Tyler Cameron in 2024.

Which emerging retail trend are you most excited about right now, and why? The rise of freezer fine dining—it’s no longer seen as the emergency staple aisle. So many great products and brands are launching in frozen to bring premium experiences home (vitally important in this economy as every dollar matters and every experience should be exciting!).

What’s your go-to coffee order? Black cold brew...oat milk latte if it’s cold.

Worst piece of advice you’ve received? “You need to put more emojis and exclamations in your email so people know you are friendly and want to work with you more.” Yep, real comment.

What was your favorite retail product when you were 15, and what’s your favorite retail product now? Favorite when I was 15 was a pack of cheddar and sour cream chips. Now it’s those chips as part of my charcuterie on-the-go kit (i.e., my adult Lunchables when I skip lunch): Chomps beef stick, Oh Snap! pickle, Tillamook cheese stick, and Welch’s Fruit Snacks snack pack.
